Why I Love My Scoob :)
#1
Just a happy story
Had my Brembo discs replaced by APs @ Scoobysport today & this meant taking the car to work in London.
Wife on hols, so picked up sprog from nursery @ 18.00 & started the normal 1hr 15in trip home....
Traffic tonite was $hite Fought my way up the A102/A12 to M11 & from M25 up to Stansted t/off to be faced with queues for the roadworks - this was 19.30 Fed-up - cr@p day at work & the brakes needed bedding in, so I thought CROSS-COUNTRY!
FUN
For the next 35 miles, I traversed a variety of wet, very windy, mud strewn A- & B & C roads back to my home. It was pi$$ing down, slightly misty & I'd never taken this route. Added to which, I had new discs/pads & (happily) sleeping daughter (care needed).
What a blast Scoob did not miss a beat, was completely sure-footed & never once did I feel that I was not in control. The amazing thing was, that I would not have been going any faster - given the novelty of the roads - in the dry! Awesome car
For various reasons, I've not yet got the Leda fitted (& poss not for Brands ) but with my mods of Prodrive Geo, Eibachs, SO2s, Strut Brace & SS Brembo/AP kit + SS Cibies PTMW! was going exactly where I intended & safely to boot. I had forgotten what a difference the Cibies made to the ability to drive fast & safe.
So, far from arriving home pi$$ed off & tired, I came through the door with a large grin on my face.
