What is it with scoobies, since i bought my TSL333 ive had about 5-6 'lads' that are either friends of friends or regulars down my local giving me a hard time, since being seen around in the scooby they all seem to think that their tuned up 106 gti,clio,saxo etc.. are going to punish me.. and even if they did
( one said clio was boasting 190bhp)
i wouldnt care because any s**t box with enough performance to do that would get my respect.

Worst one is the **** who lives near my mate, has a 1.0 corsa with plastic spinners and thinks his car is better than mine and always 'roars' past at about 2 mile an hour flat out when im parking up.
I dont think scoobs are the greatest car in the world but i love em and they sure beat a corsa with plastic ****ing spinners!

Used to get it all the time when i used to go down the pub, it was always "their mate" who had a 220bhp saxo/clio /Peugeot that ate imprezas for breakfast. Now I just agree with them it winds them up no end.

Saw a real dirty impreza wagon the other day with the word "CHAV" written in the dirt, really annoyed me as it was an old man driving..

I think its a mis conception,certainly where i live as i could say ive seen maybe one or two potential chavs in imprezas round near me since owning my car, maybe im missing something.

Don't give two hoots about other people's opinions when they are wrong! Sure SCOOBIES have their fair share of idiots/chavs etc, but then so do all the other cars. The vast majority of us SCOOBY drivers are far from chavs, but hey that is my opinion the one that counts!

another vibe i seem to be getting is the "mature" view a large section are taking. Like it or not finances today allow people under 30 to buy and run high powered (wrx/STI) cars and by human nature there is a degree of competitivness (sp?) that is a inherent part of life and will produce the "race like" competitions so many of us depise. All I can say is if you dont like it and the attention it will obviously attract then simply don't drive a subaru impreza. It really is that simple.

Don't even rise to the bait Richard. Lets face it you own a car that performance wise is in the top 20% when it comes to overall power / handling and overall performance.

I would as has been already said just agree with them and leave em to it, afterall you have a nice car that you know is more than adequate in almost every respect - why worry, be happy and when you see the afore mentioned idiots in your rear view mirror let em scream past whilst laughing your **** off. Who knows by the next bend if your lucky they will have smashed said beast of a 1.0 litre piece of crap into a hedge.
