Thumbs up BIG THANKYOU TO PRODRIVE (Richard Burns Relay)

Prodrive gets a real big up me for the hopitality shown all of us doing the realy Today.

They opened up their workshops and museum. They even put on some hot drinks and Food but saddly the amount that turned up overwhelm the catering.

Callum was offered a passsenger ride RB's WRC safari car but auctioned for a RB donation, £280 IIRC. Prodrive still gave Callum his go which was a very nice touch

Richards Dad, Alex Burns was there and drove Richards old Group N Legacy. He had a chat to nearly everyone and spent the whole day smiling. what a nice chap

This picture really summed the day up,

What a cracking day I'd also like to thank Prodrive for their hospitality, it was amazing what they'd done and they didn't even charge for the drinks

My photos are here by the way http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=513342

Allan,
Yes he was and had a smile on his face all day I don't reckon he'd hang around driving a car either

My point being that this is sooooooo much better than those ****-licking threads thanking some company/person for doing something they were paid to do!!

So, again,

Thanks from us to Prodrive for their hospitality. The slide show in the museum was very touching.

A video of the journey from Essex to Prodrive can be found here :-

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/newreply....te=1&p=5767995

The sound track of Richard's 2000 Safari rally winning car is awesome & worth the long download time.

A few of my pics :-

What a great day & one that will never be forgotten.

Jess got to chat to Richard's dad & he wrote a note of thanks in her diary that we will treasure.

Realy was a great day & one to remember. Prodrive did Richard's memory proud with their slide show, their welcoming attitude & generosity.

Must not also forget all the effort that went into organising the memorial run itself. A fitting tribute.

Default Pictures from Prodrive & tours

Firstly thanks to everyone who came - Everyone here was amazed by the number of cars that turned up. Clearly shows what high regard you all hold Richard in. Apologies the food and drink ran out - we really were not expecting that many.

I have posted some high resolution images from Saturday on www.prodrive.com - you will see the link on the home page. Anyone is free to download these. If anyone has any other suitable images they would like me to post from the day, please email them to me bsayer@prodrive.com. I can't guarantee to put them all up.

Regarding tours - we are planning to add some extra tours this year as the demand has been so great. We charge £20 per person and all the money goes to charity. This year it is the Oxford Children's Hospital. We limit the numbers to 15 for each tour which are generally held at 5pm.

If you would like to register your interest, please email: mengland@prodrive.com.

Once again thanks for the incredible turnout. I am sure that everyone who took part in the memorial rally will never forget it. And, of course, a big thank you to Callum and everyone else involved in the organisation - hope you all made it to JOG!.

Thanks for taking the time to come on here and post Ben. I was staggered by what Prodrive had laid on the other day and I couldn't believe that you'd laid the food and drinks on for free too.

Thanks for hosting your images on the website

Ben,

It really was our pleasure.

Also pass on our thanks to all the Prodrive Staff that worked tirelessly Saturday, they did wonders considering the amount of people that arrived

Even the Receptionist (sorry if you have a bigger title) was extremely knowledgable
