auto electrician manchester area please??
hi,
problems with my car again !! always breaks down when the sun comes out ..
the problem started when i took some plasma clocks out of the car to find out the next morning that the alternator wasnt charging the battery fully , it was charging at 11.67 not the normal 14. something, so a new alternator it was ...... still exactly the same .. so removed the clocks as i read on here that it was all one circuit ... i found that the plastic on the back of the clocks with the metal in has splits in and was corroded so cleaned and soldered and still the same ..... then the clocks shorted out somehow!!!
so yesterday after a 4 hour round trip i got some second hand uk clocks and thought this would be problem solved but plugged them in to find out still not charging fully and rev counter not working ,and when indicator or main beams flashed the temperature gauge goes up .... i am no auto electrician but feel i have tried my best and failed .... the only wiring diagrams i can seem to find are for imports ...
the turbo timer on the car stopped working at the same time which i found strange it is an automatic type that runs along as it needs
so please any advice or a good auto electrician to sort this out for me please
any help greatly appreciated thanks .....
