Question WRX SWRT 240 or not??

Hi, can any body help me i bought a 55reg Impreza wrx swrt limited edition from Motorpoint in October. I have been told by Motorpoint that the car has 240bhp instead of 225bhp. Has anybody else got the same car or know if this is correct or not, i would be great full if any body knows as i cant find anything on the internet about the swrt.

Thanks Andy.

Thanks for that info, I reckon it does just come with the 225bhp same as the WRX but just has the different styling interior and exterior as a special edition, especially as that guy who asked a question about a dump valve also has one from Malta and his came with 225bhp.

The reason i wanted to know was because when i bought the car i decided to have it re-mapped and was told it would take it from 225bhp up to 287bhp. But apart from a quick test drive i didn’t get to get the feel of the power so couldn’t tell if there was any difference after it was done. I didn’t think anymore of it and assumed it was done. Last week i emailed Scooby Clinic to enquire about a Full De-Cat exhaust system and asked them what difference it would make to the bhp figure. Just after sending the email i got a phone call saying that 287bhp was impossible, so today i took it to Scooby Clinic and had it on the rolling road and it achieved 243bhp, which is obviously 44bhp short of what I was initially told it had. Been back to Motorpoint and the guy from Engine Management Technologies Ltd has re-booted the ECU, now i just need to get it back on the rolling road again to check the outcome. The guys at both Scooby Clinic and Engine Management Technologies Ltd have been very helpful and understanding, hopefully this will be resolved soon, will keep you updated.

Thanks again for the info,

Andy

Also worth considering that Scoobyclinics rollers read a little lower than others by their own admission. When I was enquiring about what I could expect from my WRX PPP with a few select mods, Pat (the mapper) guesstimated IRO 260bhp. I was a little put back as the 03 WRX PPP is touted as 265PS (261.5bhp), but he just said "Not on our rollers !"

Well.. I got the same car from Motorpoint also last October.. was told it was 260.. people said no.. so it went to Interpro in Thornbury as part of the South West Scoobies Rolling Road Day on the 29th of January and it came out at 271bhp and 256 ft/lb torque.. so you tell me..?
