There's also been some discussion here. My local LPG expert told me that turbos and LPG don't mix, but others say that it's fine.

Search the archives and you'll find a bit .

The prospect of 105 Octane for 40ish P a litre is hellishly tempting, isn't it?

Would you care to enlighten us as to what a reasonable price is?
It might be worth sending an e-mail to the government lot that deal with lpg (can get to it through

Question

Has anybody any experience of converting an Impreza turbo for use on LPG.
Effect on performance?
Effect on Warranty?
I've had a quote from a company in Rochester that can do it at a reasonable price but want more info

John

Search this site and 22b.com for LPG. I've seen a long thread on this. There was a suggestion that LPG was not suited to Turbocharged cars.

I remember reading that LPG conversions were not really appropriate on Subarus with turbos. Have a look at the old posts.

Thanks for your replies.
I have looked through previous threads on subject and there seems to be a lot of contradictory info. But the balloon picture was quite amusing.
The price I have been Quoted is £1200+vat which based on my annual mileage of 30000
would mean pay back in 6 months.
So it would seem worthwhile however I still have my doubts.
Has anyone out there actually had it done?
