Default Wagon WRX as Towcar

I have a 55 WRX Wagon.

Can anyone advise if they make a good towcar?

With the torque available I would say yes, however whether the gearbox would like it or not I don't know?

Parkers reckon the braked and non braked towing weights are 500KG and 1200KG respectively. Found here.......... http://www.parkers.co.uk/choosing/sp...=1433&id=32935

Cheers m8

1200kg would be fine I just wondered if anybody on here used one as a towcar, or if it wann't advisable

I can't see any reason why not - only downside I can see is the amount of fuel you'd use...

I tow a caravan with mine most weekends and it works very well. (see below)

Very stable and more power than you could ever need.

Fuel consumption drops only slightly as to tow you have to be gentle on the pedals.

Not yet had a problem with clutch as I tend not to ride it.

Would rather tow with it than a Volvo etc.

Ted.

Probably because you can't launch off the lights and race Saxo's,
with a caravan on the back
