Is body check part of 12month service?
Just had my (EU) WRX in for its 12month service at a local subaru dealer but they haven't stamped the page for the year 1 bodywork inspection in warranty booklet.
Does it have to be done separately if so how much does it cost?

Howy it's a separate thing. Some folks don't want to have it done (it's charged for) and it doesn't always coincide with the first year mechanical service in mileage terms. Have heard it cost £80 upwards.

It is a separate job to the service and prices vary greatly. I had my 1st year one done but haven't bothered with the 3rd year. When I needed mine I was quoted £125+vat by the 1st dealer I called. £100+vat by the second, but £40+vat by the 3rd. You can guess who got the business. KT Greens in Otley near Leeds were the cheapest for me, but call as many as you can in your area and quote Greens price to see if you can get them to match it.

interesting I have just checked the subaru car service schedule form that I got back and it has an entry number "8 Inspect paint and body work damage and report further work required" which has been checked so I wonder if that would suffice for warranty purposes????

I've never had it done, because it is an extra cost and seems abit daft on a galvanised car. I did however spend a day last year waxoyling.
I did a rather good job as well.
In fact my dealer said 'no one ever has it done' enough said.
