Default Clutch judder

Just started over the weekend and seems to only happen when cold. Does this mean a clutch plate/flywheel skim.

Had this on the MY00 I owned back in 2000, and it only developed after a year or so.

Goes when warm and I recall people who had it checked out by dealer didn't get any joy.

It's a comon trait on the Scoob and not really a problem.

That said, I had mine replaced with a lightened version and it's
gone all together.

Thumbs up

the best tip is to try not to ride the clutch too much when setting of and applying slightly more revs with a quicker release of the pedal,I find this helps with mine as its been doing it for quite a while and ruled out all the usual suspects

I have heard that a good full bore launch every now and again helps
de glaze the clutch faces, which can help reduce judder.

i think its weather related. Warmer weather, goes completely. Cold day, noticable

I have clutch judder which is a bit annoying however it is very common, and not one that can be fixed easily if i'm correct. The pleasures of owning a performance car

My 03 STi has started to show signs of it at 17k As said, sometimes it's there and sometimes not. Cool, damp weather is worst. It becomes more noticable as the friction plate faces become "hard" with age. Would also be handy if there was a cover that could be removed to allow a spray of brake cleaner!

Ditto that, it works for me, and don't worry about it exploding. I've still got a std unit and it takes the launch off the line at santa pod no problems at 4k.

I've heard the launch from about 4000 rpm works. Just need a nice stretch of road to launch from all the way to approx 80mph. Should help to clear it.
