Unhappy The first time I've been made fun of as a Subaru owner.

Bloke I ended up w*rking with the other week insisted on calling it a SOOBRU! and emphasising the pronunciation that a young asian chap might use. He went on about how his other half was part of an ambulance crew and hated the marque because of all the stupid RTAs she had to attend that involved them.

Felt a bit put out, really.

Find that hard to believe. Kind of relates to the thread on here about how common they are.......There aren't that many about compared to other cars so there can't be that many accidents. He is just exagerating because they might have been to two.

My other half is a paramedic and she has never attended a scooby crash. Now Jags, skylines, corsas, focus', escorts, rovers.........you get the idea.

I know lots of paras and they don't hate marques, just *******. They see ******* in all makes of car. If she really is a para then she would have seen more accidents with other cars than scoobs.

Ignore him he's talking out of his ****!

My sister and brother in law are both paramedics, i dont think they have attended one accident involving a subaru (or else i would have been told about it ) but the worst one my sister had was a pug 106 with 5 young men in, well what was left of 3 of them.

The only RTC I have attended involving an Impreza was driven by a doctor who was on his way to an RTC

Long story mate! i posted the whole lot up when i did it in 2004 in germany.

Basicly I had been away in Iraq and my road WAS a straight one and a rather quick road, there had been some roadworks so i was using the other route home, after a week someone told me they were gone now. So i went home my normal way and they had built a roundabout! which i didnt see at 2.47am and hit it square on, straight over and flipped onto my roof. The original pic in the newspaper is with it upside down. i was in hospital for about a week.

just glad someone found me when they did, as i was unconcious. Broke my arm, burnt the other one, busted my leg, shoulder and neck and no cartilige in my left knee now either.

But the scooby saved my life so i bought another one!

Sorry about the confusion . We don't use the w*rk word in the muppet show.

I take on board what everyone says and I'm very encouraged. This was the first overt evidence I've had that the image of the marque was taking a bit of a caning.

At last!!!!!!

Its working! not w*rking and RTAs should have a comma or an apostrophe somewhere..

and to coin a phrase,

"how can we understand your post if you dont use good grammar!!!!"

Now you can stop slagging off posts for gramatical errors, given that yours is just as bad

Yeah but you've only been in the job two minutes

Been in the Ambulance Service 5 years, and never been to a single RTA involving a Scoob...seen quite a few Rover MGs when they had the free insurance(ie 17 year olds into something quite nippy)...oh and Saxos don't appear to be very strong...

Around here, no-one calls them RTC's - yet another example of American guff IMHO...

You don't need a subaru for that, the second car I wrote off was my dad's sunny and that involved me being 13 years younger, greasy country lane & that ol' fave the hump back bridge. A couple of birds in the back saying do it again but faster didn't help
