DYNO on the MY05 WRX
Bonding exercise with my brother in-law.
After 15k miiles he wanted to see what the ST was really producing, we planed a trip to DYNO shop, PE.
His car is the Ford ST (225 or so we throught), the ST only achived 208bhp on the dyno, where as by scobby made 232bhp. Both standard cars, with my scoby only covering £8k miles. Both cars running Shell optimax from new.
maybe explains why the ST is no match in a straight line against the WRX.
His car is the ST3 which is around the same weight as the scobby, lovely car.
I'm aware VW/BMW cars rate bhp conservatively and Ford has always been optomistic, but I thought Japanese cars were also on the optimistic side?
