Having a bad day
Last week I foolishly managed to knock over a full glass of Ancien Comte Fitou over my piano keys. Today the specialist has been and says I have done around £2k worth of damage to my Bosendorfer
Then to cap it all, some baffoon has dinged my offside rear door in Tesco's car park
Looks like I need another stiff drink....

For the fellow conousseurs it is produced from hand-picked Grenache and Carignan grapes grown in the herb-rich Mediterranean landscape of the South of France, this dark ruby, full-bodied red wine will go excellently with blue cheese or red meat dishes.

Which Bosendorfer do you have?
What a bummer either way I suppose but best to be sure to get someone good to fix it. Does it need anything else done to it while they are doing the work?

I am amused by some of the wit on this thread, it has turned a bad day into a good one, but then again I am on my second bottle of Wolf Blass Presidents Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2002

Oh bum, is the Senator the fancy looking 7ft one based on the 214 or is it actually a 9ft one? I honestly don't know as I've not seen one of the limited ones in the flesh, they seem to do so many of them now. Like you say though keeping its looks is important.
If it is one of the slightly smaller ones what do you think of the sound compared to the full concert grand? I bet with some nice red in you it sounds better and better. Good luck with the cleaning, I hope they do a good job on it.

I believe it is based on the 214. It is "fancy" as you describe it, even fancier with red wine stains
The sound is superb, I had a Steinway grand but traded it in for the Bosendorfer. The sound is leagues ahead in my opinion. I removed all the carpet in the study and had the wall accoustically altered to enhance the sound though when I moved into this house
