oil/knocklinks
hi im new here , got my o2 wrx ppp 2 day and never stopped grinning but the guy who i bought it off told me to make sure i use 15/40 oil is this right ?also i dont know much about scoobs but there is a thing on the dash called a knocklink wtf is this for any ideas or help will be great

There are several oils you can use, i use a 15w50 fully synthetic oil in my scoob, subaru put a 10w40 semi synthetic in the cars normally.
As for the knocklink, it picks up noise off the engine to see if there is a problem with det, you shouldnt see more than the second green light going, amber is still ok, just take heed of it (ie foot of fast pedal), red is a no no.

so you are saying i have a chav mobile,by the way i did not get a owner manual so i posted a genuine question.....can u give me any help on a re-map mr lewis or does your knowledge not extend that far.Seriously wanting a re-map done as i heard this improves your b.h.p

Oil, get the thickest you possibly can ... I would recommend 25W-80 - very rare, but - I have 5 litres sitting right here beside me. It has lost its label but it is top stuff - normally retails at £79:99 for 4 litres - YOU can have it for £59:99 and it's a special offer 5 litre carton!!
And yes, cocklinks make you a rally wannabeee chav - sorry about that!
