They will show marks more than any other colour and unless theyre clean they look ****e!!, They hide nothing, but IMO nothing looks better when its really bufty'd up.

I have owned a black car and a silver car in the past. The silver car was much easier to keep clean and less prone to streaking when washed. Black cars show every bit of dirt and as a result are buggers to keep clean and wash. My current car, WR blue, isn't far behind black in the keeping clean stakes.

Black cars look excellent when clean, but one rain shower and they are dirty again. They are also a pain to polish and wax as they show swirl and cloth marks like no other colour.
I've had a black Tavia vRS and now have an Audi A3 in black - but it'll be the last black car.

I love black cars, very sinister, so what if they are a bugger to clean, just live with it being dirty.
Trust me, when you do 4000 miles per month in your black car, you give up tryying to keep it clean.

Black cars are the best IMHO, if you look after them, clean them every week and keep up with the Swissol, they simply look stunning all of the time!
Here's my black TT which is now sold.. : (

As been said previous, great when clean and shiney, its the dogs danglies especially with the blue speckle shows in sunlight.
You must also take care when washing to stop the swirls, I shift between waxing with a quick wax and detailer to keep the shine. This colour has given me more issues to solve than any other previous.
Silver is a great colour to keep in good condition and dont show the dirt as bad as black.

Indeed, I do on average 4000kms per month and it is frustrating to keep the bugger clean.
However, no other colour looks as fantastic as black when clean. Like it? I love it, but it will be the last black car I buy! LOL
It'll be back to silver for my next car and probably one that is more forgiving for the amount of k's I do.
Love the rex to death, but starting to realise that practical is probably the better way to go. Shame we don't get the Octavia over here as I would love to get one of those (funnily enough black would be first choice LOL ).

Black is best!!!
I have had two silver cars and while they are good at hiding the dirt, scratches etc, they have no depth to the shine when you do clean and polish them.
Had a red car too and that was amazing, easy(ish) to keep clean and had a wonderful shine.
One green car too which was nice when clean and polished, pretty good at hiding the dirt too!
However, if you are prepared to wash and polish your black car on a regular basis they look the best. The depth of shine you can get is incredible. Really is good.

I just happen to have polished my silver barge this weekend, just nipped out to take a snap shot and even in this dull light theres a nice deep reflection. And this is after the rain yesterday and 100mile trip round the M25.

Had a black mexico once (nice car) but it was involved in 2 crashes not my fault so am convinced black is not a safe colour (think some research said silver was the safest.

The black object you can see in the wheel arch is the brake disc, thats the wheel!
