Default Rocker Gasket - Is Sealant required

Hi - I'm planning to replace my passenger side rocker cover gasket this weekend - I've got all the genuine gaskets (inc plugs, half-moons and bolt gaskets)

Should I use sealant when replacing the gaskets?

Also any tips so that I don't land up doing the job again.

Thanks.

If you've got new gaskets use a jointing compound or a very fine layer of oil resistance sealent on both faces of the gasket.
