does suck mate, but the mods will add all of about £500 to the value of the car might make it more desirable to certain potential buyers but you're more likely to see a better return putting it back to standard.
all the better reason to keep it

If you are no hurry to sell, hang on, somewhere out there is a buyer for your car at your price, If however you really need to sell you wont see much more than £16.5K imho, And oh yes...... NEVER ask a HOW MUCH? question on here, you wont like what you hear! lol
I purchased a mint 03 sti ppp 6 months ago with quick shift, ppf 18" alloys, it was kept in a heated garage, no expense spared with less than 7K on the clock, it was really better than new, I gave £17K for it, it was up for £19k, when i asked on here what it was worth i got the £13k-£15k if not less brigade telling me how much it was'nt worth!
I'M VERY HAPPY WITH MY CAR.
Just keep your chin up!

There is an odd extreme of percieved values when it comes to Imprezas.. The second hand car market is pretty dead at the moment, it was killed by the current low interest rates and rising house prices that ment everyone was borrowing or releasing equity to buy new, flooding the market with second hand cars and wiping out the buyers at the same time..
The depreciation of new cars is shocking enough, but some of the prices of 3+ year old cars is also un-real at the moment. And remember new cars are never an investment unless you've got your name on a short waiting list for something very exotic and some impatient richer person wants it first
