Default hello

I am new here and new to subaru ownership. Looks great site. I was thinking about buying an Apexi Power Intake for my 1999 turbo but i am not certain whether this is meant for import cars only?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-IMPREZA...QQcmdZViewItem

Please could someone tell me whether it is safe to buy this for my car? Sorry i dont know much technical stuff. I did look at the specifications
http://www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm#2.1 but it didnt really make me any wiser.

Thank-you in anticipation of your help. Please be gentle with this newbie. I am pleased but a little nervous to be here.

Just stick with a decent panel filter good for 300, Apexi are supposed to be pretty good, but MAF's are weak on MY99/00's and an induction kit may help it on its way out.

....and welcome aboard

BORO will field a very much weakened team ..... we don't care about the Derby with a Charlton replay on Wednesday following.

I suspect that McLaren will put 7 kids out again, plus Parlour and Doriva and Mendietta ..... Brad Jones in Goal.

I suspect a draw .... but won't care if we lose - we have bigger fish to fry.

I see Charlton put out a weakened team today as well........

Sorry for the Hijack, Newbie

Pete

Oooo the lies

Marcie the engines are basically the same between UK and JDM cars with many interchangable parts.

Hi marcie and welcome

I'm new to this myself I only got my fist scooby last saturday, its a 99 turbo same as yours, all pretty standard apart from a decat exhaust that I'm thinking of taking off as its a bit on the loud side.

I'm not too technical myself so cant really advise you on the intake, but personally I'm going to leave my car as it is for now until I get used to driving it and know some more of the technical stuff, after all its a pretty quick car as standard.

All the best with yours you chose a great car.thumb:

If you're reading this cheers for the help today Dan the car is running great! now more probs with idle or the turbo.
Next time I'm near I'll pop in with a bottle of JD or something, cheers m8.
