Neither.. I use body-shop finishing products from Farecla and 3M..
Farecla G10 compound applied with a compound mop to remove any oxidization or previous products or G3 if you have swirl marks.
3M Finnesse-IT polish applied with a 3M polish mop head and buffed to a deep shine.
3M Hand Glaze applied by hand then buffed with 3M polish mop head then finished by hand with a microfibre cloth.
Farecla Top coat wax applied by hand then buffed by hand with a high quality lint free polishing cloth
Even a 22 year old Nova which had almost turned white comes up like new with the above (and a big tin of eblow grease)

i have thought of getting a mop and doing it Daveys way, but a mate who owns a bodyshop advised me not too as unless you know what you are doing its very easy to get burns etc. on edges which can be difficult to remove.

Other....why pay more for the same results?
BTW, yes you need to be careful when mopping, espcially when using aggressive polishing compounds, or non-bodyshop polishes that do not progressivly break down.
And don't forget to wax after polishing

Depends "HOW" you use your autoglym and turtle wax. (take a look in "car care" http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=494261) :
You can't just dollop on some fine resin polish and think that's it.
Taking a systematic metholodical approach using basic products in the following steps and you will surpass even the likes of Swissol.
That being: Washed--> Chemically cleaned-->Restoration-->Polished-->Waxed
Do the above with almost any product and you will get superb results. You see, it's not what you use, its how you use them. A polish is no good if you don't wax, likewise a wax is no good if your paintwork feels as rough as a unshaven vagrant.
