Brand new Sti - damaged:cry:!
I'm foooking gutted - had my new MY06 Sti for exactly a week and this morning ran over a hare on a country road. Smashed the front spolier below the number plate virtually in two !
I haven't had chance to have a good look, so does anyone know if the front spoiler/bumper is one piece or if i can replace the broken bit on its own?

Well, it's confirmed as one piece by local dealer - price for new bumper £120+VAT, which seems rather reasonable all things considered. All in plus fitting+paint should be £250-£300
******* batsard big wabbit!

This is one of the reasons why will NOT be buying another Subaru after buying Impreza's since 1997. The paint on the new models is poor, the plastics are pathetic, and by the sound of it the front bumper is brittle. I was at my dealer earlier in the year and there was a guy in a WR Blue STI who had hit a pigeon at 70+ mph and it had ripped the bonnet scoop off and its legs had put deep scratches in the bonnet.
I will buy German next........

Well you got to laugh haven't you??
Triple'O G, thanks for the advice but as Cookstar said most of the cost seems to be painting. The actual quote is £240+VAT, which didn't seem too bad. I somehow knew the cost would be too low too justify an insurance claim meaning i'd have to swallow it myself. I can't imagine the hare had insurance....

Simon,
It's the splitter/chin bit directly below the number plate. As far as I can tell by groping around, this particular bit is just single skin .
What you said about the two part bit does make sense..and means the $tealer quote is probably correct

I've recently moved from a German BM E46 328 back to the scoob camp - the build quality of the BM was in a different league to all scoobs and i'm sure i could have tw@tted a hare without much trouble
The BM was a bit too sensible and refined though - it even averaged over 35mpg! It also had more than one coat of paint! Still, you can't beat a scoob!
