Long nosed pliers and some tinsnips? I guess they are, I found there was plenty of room through the bulb hole to get in.
Can post up pics of what I used if you like

The indicator bulb is covered by the orange cover that is clipped inside the headlight, push it inside, hold it with the long nosed pliers and snip it into small pieces and tip it out of the hole

I've found the hardest part is actually getting the lights out of the car.
but once out,you can use a heat gun or even a hairdryer to loosen up the 'devil snot' thats sealing them.
and to ensure a good seal afterwards,I found it best to scrape as much of the original sealant out as you can. Then replace it with copious amounts of new clear silicone.
...don't forget to paint the chrome light surround black while you have them apart

I have twp pairs of headlaights, 1 pair european and 1 pair for uk, I did both of mine in the oven and it was set to about 90 for about 5 -10 mins (just keep checking to see if they want to come apart) after doing the detango and black paint job i then re put them in the oven again just to subtle up the old silicon and replace them together. I have had no condensation at all and my headlights did not melt! Obviously you keep a check on them, your not doing a baked alaska ffs! then you will be fine. However if I was just going to detango i would smash it out as said above. I did try the other method of using a hairdryer and i found it took too long and didnt really work for me. Each to their own decision, but dont be scared of the oven!!

I have done many detango's, but I'm all the way up in Leeds so not really much use It really is quite easy, and don't be scared of the oven. As long as the heat is at between 100-120ºC you won't damage them as they're only in for 10 minutes. Cover the adjuster motor with foil and remove all wiring and bulbs prior, and I always add a bead of silicone sealer when re-assembling. I haven't had one of mine leak yet.
As for the LED indicators mentioned above, I have those fitted as they're much better than the silvered bulbs. The old silvertec ones were truly awful for visibility on sunny days. The PIAA and possibly Philips ones are better, but the LED's are very good. The only problem is that because they use so little power the relay goes into hyperflash as it sees the reduced current draw as a bulb failure. To remedy this you need to add some inline resistors between the wires behind each indicator. Takes 2 minutes to do with a couple of scotchblocks. They're £2 each from the Hein Gericke motorcycle accessory shop.

As I said, resistors £2 each from Hein Gericke, a pair of scotch clips and some spade connectors. Takes about 10 minutes to do all 4 corners.

For god sake pal get some ***** and have a go yourself. There are plenty of pointers already given to you. Is it the blobeye or bug.
I've done a bugeye and a blobeye the bug was a doddle, the blobeye a little more difficult to remove the lights from the car. I used a hair dryer to split the light assembly which is the easy bit.
Do a search as there is some very good step by step guides on hear to assist.
De-tango......you know it makes sense

I'm surprised nobody has set up an exchange system (places like Scooby Clinic included) in which you just pay your cash and they swap them over for you. Some one on an old forum I used did it for £50.

there is a ball/socket type joint which needs to be manipulated - easy to chip the paint on the corner of the wing when doing so so use insulation tape to protect contact areas
