Default Auto express.Impreza's from £800

Nice short piece in Auto express about what a good buy an older impreza would be.I don't have one (have a skoda vRS) but was amazed they were quoting prices from £800.

Presume these would be ready for Impreza heaven or a scrapyard though (if not,its a thought for me)

These will be the ancient WRX's that have no service history but are fitted with tasteful Ebay extras.

Its nonsense; a healthy engine is worth more than that.

Total b0ll0cks - you 'may' be able to buy an Impreza for £800, but when you add on £500 for 4 new tyres, £500 for new discs and pads, £2000 for engine rebuild etc... etc... it wont look so cheap.

Sounds like the usual high standard of informative automotive journalism we come to expect from Autoexpress

Very likely a 1.6gl, or even an early 2.0 NA......
