Gutted! Doubt you'll ever see it again though Amazing what people will steal!

Does anyone remeber the big spate of this a while back?? One of the Directors for the company I work at had the front bumper of his brand new Daimler Jag stolen during the day! He wasnt best pleased

its not just a case of replacing it either as they didnt exactly take care removing it, and when i started the car it shot anti freeze everywere. as ive never removed the bumper i dont really know how to fit one, think it might be an insurance job as i dont want to bodge it, all the iner panels are split aswell

Are you sure someone hasnt crashed into it, the bumper fell off and someone has stolen it?

Will probably be cheaper to fix it yourself in the long term, your going to have your excess and it will rack up your premiums.

no way its been crashed into, dont have to pay excess and it wont effect premiums, only problem is if it happens again then it will effect protected no claims and premiums etc.

Its pretty minor stuff really, personally I would just cough up and sort it myself, if something more serious happens to the car in the future you will be kicking yourself

yeah but untill its fixed i dont have a car to myself, and i need one, and i dont know what hidden damage is done. unfortunatly i dont have the time to hunt down a bumper/spots etc then get it sprayed and fitted

well, i just removed my bumper and its not like a 5 minute job, you need to remove the lights and grill to gain access to the lugs that hold it on, then remove lugs from under the arch, had to remove wheel liner, then theres 2 bolts underneath which are pretty well corroded as all the crap rusts them up, so its not like its like nicking a bee sting aerial.

weird thing to nick tho

Keep an eye on Ebay for someone selling one in your area - wouldnt surprise me as someone on here had their spoiler stolen a while ago and a couple of days later it was up for sale on there, the ad even said they didnt have the fixing clips and bolts for it !

May also be worth having a quiet word around the local repair shops to see if anyone has been in with an Impreza asking for the price of respraying or repairing a bumper - could be someone damaged theirs and thought it would be cheaper to steal yours rather than buy a replacement.

Tell the cops.

Why? Cos some git now has your number plate and will then fill your doormat with fines for gatsos, conjestion charge, parking fines etc.

It could save you pain in the future.
