You been a member since 2004 and didnt know about APi engines, they have a direct advert link on the front forum page.

I cant believe you spent £8K+ in engines, how do you drive the car, servicing etc

4 engines????

Several possible reasons spring to mind:

1) Crap re-builds. Common with people who Claim to know Subaru engines, but actually don't.
2) Underlying fault not identified in each rebuild, e.g. dodgy sensor meaning that any subsequent rebuilds are doomed to same fate.
3) Not running the car in properly or neglecting servicing.
4) Driving like a ****.
5) Poor modifications.

Take it to APi, and listen very carefully to what David reccommends!!

4 engines,

Surely some kind of warrenty is mandatory for these kind of jobs.

Unless it is your own fault and you know it, I would be speaking to trading standards

Well i always let the oil temp get up to 90 before using the turbo (15mins of driving)always leave it running for at least two minuates before turning it off and my rev bleep is set between 5800 rpm /6200rpm .

4 Engines?

I'm new here so won't be too abrasive - but, I'll say what everyone is thinking - you need to learn how to drive an Impreza

MrReee
Nope, not at all, I'm thinking there's a cause for 4 engines to blow and it's not gonna be the way they are driven!

Could be maintenance, modding, mapping, building (couldn't think of another m!), but driving? Nah!

I have a feeling Mr reee will advise you to drive around at 3000rpm,use cheap oil,not expensive **** oil. And to drive around with 65000 mile brake pads, thus limiting your speed in the first place

I'm sorry but i forgot Imprezas were made of chocolate and you have to drive them in a special way so the won't brake.
