PPP & Warranty

PPP & Warranty
Hi folks,
first timer here at scoobynet, but had MY98 classic turbo from new , & now thinking of moving up to MY06 Sti. Read about the pros & cons of going for a euro import & now the warranty issue seems to be sorted, looks like a good deal, but I'm concerned about getting the PPP fitted (when it comes out) as I've heard that invalidates the warranty, but not sure why, as it is a dealer fit option.
any ideas/thoughts ?

PPP is the official subaru approved upgrade for any impreza. It will not affect the waranty at all. It is in fact the only mod you can officialy do to your scooby.
my06 ppp will be available soon, as prodrive have just been tweaking it.

PPP may be an official subaru approved upgrade but some EU suppliers won't honour the warranty if its fitted, so suggest you check before you purchase.Let me know if anyone with a cyprus scooby has had it fitted and retained warranty thanks

The PPP is only officially approved by Subaru UK (International Motors). All the European distributors (including IM) take the Factory warranty which would be invalidated by the PPP. It is up to the local distributor to decide if they want to cover the drivetrain separately.
In the past Subaru Benelux was happy to cover the PPP upgrade but I don’t think anyone has taken a decision on the MY06 cars yet.
