Importing a Type R
Does anyone know if you can import a post 1997 type r direct from japan to uk and get it through the ESVA, my thinking is anything after 1997 needs to be ESVA'ed which envloves a Model Report, and appartently there is no model report for 2 doors, is this right and does this mean im limited to importing 1996 and older, cheers in advance,

from what i understand your are right - the only other way is buy a type-r thats already in the country - there are a few nice ones in the for sale section at the mo

buy it now and hang on till next year to register it!
better still buy 2 and sell one! can guarantee prices in japan will go up towards the end of this year when people start buying them up to register in 07 when they can be registered with only having to pass a m.o.t
