Turbo will go stariaght on. I had a td04 on mine and changed for an sti tdo5. Dont know if you have changed anything else on the car or have a mapable ecu but i would wait untill you do as my bottom end has just gone ££££££.

The TD06 (which is what is proposed here, not a TD05) is a bit of a monster though.. Is it coming from Andy Forrest?

If the title is correct and youre talking about a Mitsubishi TD05 16G and you have an early WRX saloon then thats what you have now! If its a saloon itll have a TD04 but that will still pump enough air to make 280bhp, maybe a little more. The turbo is that last thing you change rather than the first; changing it without the necessary supporting parts is pointless.
