You checked the wheels bearings???

I had the same noise on mine and the rear passenger wheel bearing was shot.

Get them to double check the shocks. Had to take my car back to subaru three times before they found the fault, even though i suggested the shocks, as it's a common problem!
Subaru mechanics do worry me sometimes!!!

Dump the dead body, noise gone and a quicker/lighter car. Problem solved

Make sure the jack is secure in the wheel arch, i have had this before.
Edit, to add Jack handle under the the lift up carpet in the boot, knocking on boot floor.

Ditto!!!! I replaced the complete suspension on my previous Impreza only to find the knocking was the jack in the boot that was loose! . Silly as it sounds it could be something as innocuous as this.

hi mate, i had a knocking coming from the back end not so long ago when i went round corners, i had my son sat in the boot at one stage to see if he could here where it was coming from, had wheels off brakes off cleen in all hubs, it ended up being wheel bearing collapsed, ive had a wheel bearing gone a few times but never sounded like this. just jack car up and see if there is any play in them by shaking top and bottom of wheels.
hope you find it soon mate
