Default Up pipe

Ok ive decatted centre pipe and downpipe, and im now looking to decat the up pipe,before i do anything is there any percautions i should take.My car is a MY01 bugeye standard apart from the 2 decats.Also will it be ok doing that 3rd decat without having it remapped, and last question can anyone recommend an up pipe.

In my opinion you should of had it remapped with the downpipe. Up-pipe should be a definate because you run the risk of it breaking up with the higher EGT's that higher boost will result in - bit's of it flying into the turbo won't do it any good. Will certainly be wise to remap it with the up-pipe out.

H&S will sort you out or find an STi up-pipe as these don't have cats.

How come i should of had it remapped when i had the downpipe fitted, apart from it been faster, ive had that done for a year now and had no probs.

Because it will now be boosting differently without the fueling setup to match - it could well be running lean over certain part's of the rev range. Engine will be running hotter and more subseptible to detonation.

Might be fine - I've know a guy who changed his turbo and decatted his car without any map/fueling mods and it's running spot on making near 300bhp... I think he has been very lucky but would recommend you stick it on a rolling road to atleast confirm it is running a safe AFR etc.

Have you modified the air intake?
