Decat, upgraded intercooler, high flow fuel pump and regulator. Remap.
You'll need a new turbo as well as the TD04 will run out of puff at around 300

You still have a cat in the donwpipe and uppipe.
Use an STi uppipe (no cat) and a s/hand Prodrive sports cat d/pipe to pass the MOT.
VF35 turbo, Walbro pump, std injectors with pressure regulator or STi injectors plus an STi intercooler for a straight forward 330 bhp.

TBH remove the up-pipe cat, second cat already gone because of the PPP and go for a sports cat in the downpipe.
Getting harder with these computerised MOT's to pass without one fitted.
Checkout Hayward and Scott for exhausts http://www.haywardandscott.co.uk/res...sp?category=13
Andy F is running a series in Scoobymag about upgrading power in a newage WRX at the mo as well.

Injectors will need to be changed as the standard WRX uses 380cc injectors, Best to upgrade them to pink STi ones if you want to get over 300bhp, but you would also need to remap the car on any new mods that you put on to get the most out of it.
It would have worked out cheaper for me to get a STi, with the amount of STi parts that have been added to my WRX.

To reach 320 bhp you'll need about £2000.
Perhaps the d/pipe or intercooler for now, but most of the bits won't really show their true benefit unless they are fitted in one hit with a remap.
Adding single items at a time may also damage the engine.

thanks nick (butty)
any thoughts on gearbox realibilty @ 320 ?
It sounds like you have modded your wagon to 320 ?
if so in which order did you mod or what company did you use ?
wagons are great,my last scoob was a myoo wagon, ultimate stealth vechicle with all the benifits.

The wagon does 280 bhp @ wheels according to delta dash. I guess this is IRO 340 bhp, but is at 1.5 bar so may need reducing a bit.
I used the bits as already described plus a ported exhaust manifold, removed the TGVs and ported the inlet manifold and also added a 3 port boost solenoid.
I installed all the parts while Zen Performance in Wellingborough remapped it and mended all the stuff I broke/mis-fitted.
I did fit the IC first which proved to add nothing other than a little lower turbo spooling.

I got my MY03 wagon to 349/347 (@1.1 bar) with an Ecutek map by Richard Bulmer;
MD304 turbo
STi pink injectors
Hyperflow CAK
Warlbro 255
APS top mount i/c
FSE fuel reg (rubbish, but I didn't know any better back then....)
Full H&S system, with up-pipe.
The first time it was mapped it made 289 with just the decat and i/c. I then added the CAK, truebo, fuel pump, injectors, and when Pat mapped it it made 294 @ 1.5 bar an ran like ****e.
Took it to Prosport after the previous 'mapper' had a few go's then 'couldn't get up to see me' and they sorted it out perfectly first time.
All figures were on the same set of rollers.

RRH impressive figures there. Im adding a few bits to my 2004 WRX in the next couple of weeks and getting my car remapped, Last time I had it mapped it made 310/290 on Powerstation rollers.
Just getting worried about the gearbox, but there seem to be quite a few newage WRX owners with quite a bit of power, and there gearboxes seem to be holding together quite well.
Have you uprated the clutch or done any gearbox modifications.

Nope, standard. Although the car did get a fair bit of track use I've never been one for the traffic light grand prix- I let it start rolling, then nail it once past 3500 in second.
Gearbox and clutch were fine for 20,000+ miles- how it's fairing now I don't know, as its back to standard and has had a new owner since last August.

No just keep saving, £250 isnt going to get you much. Whatever you do next will probably result in the car needing a re-map so doubtful £250 will get you far.
I like the quote of ebc discs and redstuff in your list of power upgrades by the way
