Yes you can achieve this induction noise via a cone filter . You might want to add some more mods and then remap at the same time to avoid messing up the a/f ratio and potentially running lean.

Other than that just let your turbo warm up and down for longevity and enjoy your motoring last of all welocome to SN

whats the best filter to get? and why are hks, blitz ect £200 more than other filters? and what one will give the best sound? as a friend has a r33 gts-t and he swapped his induction kit for a hks or like cos it sounded better?!

i got given a turbo timer......i have no idea how to fit it tho in fittin book with it!

Blitz are crap couldn't filter a cow out, HKS seem a good option to go with but these products cost more as the Branding, a K an N would do the same job. Not too sure on different sounds that might be a placebo

Welcome, mate.

Congratulations on the WRX - good choice

I'll stay out of the DV debate - I figure that you can't be to stealthy with your car going "PSSSSTTTCCCHHHHH!!!" all the time.....

You'll still get loads of turbo noise with a pannel filter and removing the airbox baffles - this way you can look after the MAF, too. I've use the HKS pannel filter for a year with no probs, but I think the Green Cotton ones are more popular (HKS didn't do too well in a filtration test that I saw on here a few months back).
