Default MOT Emissions Failure

Hi all, just asking for a little help in deciding whether to buy a lambda sensor tommorrow or not:

MOT Emissions failed on high CO (1.4%) and low Lambda (0.96) which indicates rich mixture.

Car (Import V3 STI '97) runs fine with only slight hesitancy on part throttle.

I is fairly sure I need new Lambaaaaaada sensor.

Any comments, also do you think sensor will be different fit to Uk model in terms of connector plug?

Not sure I want to go down the 'universal' route.

Any advice much appreciated

Rgds

Sounds like Lambda ..... .96Volts is below the MOT limits for the unit - no CEL?

The actual Lambda reading on the Gas Analyser was .96, not the O2 sensor voltage.
No CEL either?
