Question dump valve problem

Hi im tottaly new to the scoob's so bare with me, i have just bought a TK M20B subaru impreza wrx94,,which is about 300bhp,to 350 bhp, it has a baily's dump valve fitted ,now the problem is when it works it makes a funny sound not like a dump valve should,i have been told it is because it is not big enough for the engine, but i dont think that is the problem, im thinking of taking it off but im not sure on how the pipes go to put it back to normall, pics would be great ,or is it best to keep a dump valve on it, and if so which is the best one to put on,
any advice would be great ,
oh and i have 3 pods 1 oil preasure,1 oil temp and a 3rd which im not sure of all i know is that when it reaches 10 i have to change gear as when i go over the 10 the engine sound crap
please feel free to take the p**s

sounds like u need dump valve with higher psi rating if ur running 350 bhp. Above ten psi u must be getting some detention be careful that can destroy ur engine in seconds, what fuel do u use.You need a dump valve to protect turbo from stalling

a knocklink will tell u if it is det or get a garage to check with det cans. my car was doing that and was cured with a set of coils

what type of fuel do u use

Ok mate, if you still have your standard re circ dv, then all you need to do is place it back in between those 2 black pipes and where that nice piece of blue pipe is job done although i cant see the factyou are running 300 bhp should cause your dv many probs

or go back to standard recirculating, or by a better dv. Standard baileys dv are not stong enough for modded cars. Phone baileys and ask em yourself. Obvoisly your not willing to listen to my advise

yeah use optimax that will help with the noise above ten psi. If ur running 350 bhp ur car should hit about 17psi try optimax and let us know how the car goes.

if i do go over the 10 which i will admit i have done a couple cos of not changing quick enough the engine basically complains and just holds back,so to speak, as for 5th never really took it that far
the subaru is all new s**t to me but what a nice car they are

I think they were changed about 1 month ago m8, its ok up to the 10 after that it seems as though its restricted, maybe a good thing saves getting a new engine ,the engine was rebuilt recently i have the bill for £2500,
here is a pic off engine , its spottless compared to the pic
