I'd snap their arm off for it You know the history of a uk car for a start and it won't need a remap/needed a remap for uk fuel.

what's wrong with it and is it a genuine mcrae? mileage, service history, hpi clear?

seems too cheap. but don't tell the seller that incase it's a good one and they then want more money

Question

I recently saw a 96 McRae on about 82k and he wanted £5500 for it. Nice dark blue but I decided not to pay extra for the McRae when I could get a 70k on the clock 98/S for £4750.

Whats the mileage? Once you go above 90k its quite common to see the price down to around £4.5k I reckon. £3.5k sounds cheap. Check mileage and HPI check it I would. Obviously 96 is a 10 yr old car now which is another thing put me of the McRae I saw...

By the way, the McRae I saw had indicator stalk on right and slightly diagonal intercooler. Is this a sign of Japanese import or is it just the earlier model (all the other cars I saw were UK 98 and newer)?

By the way, a lot of the McRae edition had "555" number plates, but not all. Dunno if it interests you or not...

Just done an hpi check, came back as a cat A, was fire damaged in May 2005, car should have been crushed. phoned owner who got it in August last year and he said that it is rubbish and it hasnt been wrote off. Phoned DVLA and they have not got an issue with sending out the logbook which normally if its wrote off you cant get it.
HAS ANYBODY GOT A NICE CLEAN CAR FOR SALE?
