Remap Today at Prosport
I know the figures might seem small fry compared to some on here but for a wrx they ain't bad at all.
Well my first visit to Prosport was a spectacular success. I was v impressed with the workshop. All nice and new and filled with some seriously tasty motors in various stages of build. The service was second to none, so thanks to Pete, Claire and the guys. You really give the impression that you care about what you are doing.
The mods were tame but carefully selected...
An STI panel filter, a Heyward and Scott Decat up pipe mated with a Prodrive Sports cat down pipe, Prodrive Decat center and Prodrive back box. (Thanks CW42).
The increase in noise is noticeable but satisfying. It sounds like it was meant to sound. Nice burble with a good roar at full chat. This was all fitted on wednesday followed by mapping today. After discussing requirements and recommendations I left in the Ka for work after seeing Tony Burns drive away in a classic.......
When I returned this was waiting for me
After a final check I started it up and pulled away as Pete was closing up. I reached the end of the road, thinking this is loud.... as I was about to turn around my phone rang with Pete saying to come back as he can still hear me!
I got back and he said he didn't think it sounded right as I pulled away, not to mention how loud it was now!
He opened up the shop and got the kettle on after emptying all the cars out of the garage to allow him to get mine back on the ramps.
Turns out a small nick in the side of a washer on the lambda sensor turned into a crack thus allowing lots of noisey gases out.
He sorted it while I drank a brew and looked at his lovely 06 spec c
Thanks to Prosport for making the extra effort today to make me happy. Its not often people do that little bit extra to please a customer.
As for the remap, what can I say? The above says it all.
The drive home was well worth it.

i could guarantee if i went there for work things would not go as smooth, they never do. they would probably blow my car up,

The only pisser about the whole day was after this happened last month...
It happened again on the way home when I got hit by a large stone on the M60. It is nowhere near as bad this time but still need another screen now.

Jeez what a bummer, was the recent one brought off the road by another car/truck or did some scum throw it off a bridge ????

The first was a pheasant. The recent one, not sure. It was dark and lots of cars about. Was in outside lane with no trucks near and no bridges so it must have been from a car. Hard to say, just a loud bang and me going oh FFS not again!

My last two graphs from Prosport were very irregular below 2000rpm, I think Pete said it is something to do with readings picked up while they are gently running the car through the lower gears
