Default Does a service make a difference?

Alreet,

Having my classic serviced for the first time (in my ownership), having the front crank seals done due to oil dripping on the exhaust manifold and smelling and an intermidate service.

What I want to know is that do the scoob's come back feeling better, faster more responsive just after a service or is it all in the mind?

Do they stick the computer on and reset the car after 6 months of bad petrol, temp changes and maybe the odd bad personal driving??

Unless there is anything wrong with it, it'll all be in the mind mate!

Yep - the handbrake will feel tighter and sharper. Bit like driving a clean car really....

New plugs/leads could make a difference, an oil change will slow it down (by an almost unmeasurable amount) as the new oil will be slightly 'thicker' than the aged stuff, if the air filter was pretty clogged then that could make a difference!
