Hi guys and girls

I need a bit of advice about a car I am going to view in the very near future.

the car was imported from new in 1998 and has only done low mileage since then (under 20K).

The question is the ECU has not been re-mapped since the car has been in the uk could this be a potential problem with regards to detonation that could have occurred during the cars life?

Any help would be appreciated.

It depends. if the car has been service well and run on good fuel. i can't see any problems.

I imported my car. I am running on optimax and booster till i can get it mapped. seems to be ok.

Make sure ut has a full service history.

Hi Graham,

It has a good service history from what I can see and has been serviced correctly.

The car has been on the rolling road lately to confirm the power output so I recon any probelms will have been spotted on the rollers
