Default My Scooby

Hi, I've recently purchased a 1996 Impreza WRX (Import). I was wondering what the engine type should be? I've only had it a couple of weeks & the bottom end has gone, so I'm looking for a replacement while I build the broken engine up. Also, what power should it be pushing out std? Cheers!

Have you determined the cause of the failure?
