#1 can anyone help ?
not used the car for 3 weeks ,came to start it this weekend & the battery was flat
the car is delocked so could'nt open the bonett
i fitted an anderson plug under the foglight cover a while back incase this happened
yesterday plugged the charger in & left it charging overnight
today alarm went off & would'nt go off pressing the button just locks/unlocks
the doors alarm then stops & restarts after 20 secs
popped the bonett & removed the battery cable all ok
reconect the battery 20 sec later alarm goes off again
in the 20 secs the alarm is stopped it is possable to start the engine
then alarm goes off & engine keeps on running
any ideas thanks chris

im no expert would imagine that a completely charged or new battery would solve the problem. a lightly discharged (on its way out)battery causes the alarm to sound a few times on starting but when fully charged its ok. just a thought

Ditto . . .No expert here either . . .But in my experience, its a very bad idea to tamper with the alarm, especially if you have a thatch I alarm . . These alarms have an independent power supply/mind of their own when the battery gets tampered with . . .
Only thing I can sugggest (and it is a bit lame) is to get it orf to the main dealer!
Good luck!
