2003 wrx sti specs???
Hi all,
I am just wondering if anyone could help me. I have checked everywhere and i am probably looking in the wrong places.
I am wondering do all wrx sti have differential control switch near gear shift?.
Also which is better?. a jap spec or a uk spec?. Which is more economical?.
Sean

No, Uk didn't get the DCCD-A (Driver Controlled Centre Differential-Automatic) until 2005, except on the 2004 limited edition WR1. On EU imports it was an option from 2005, so some have it. JDM cars IIRC all have the DCCD-A, along with better engines, turbo's, exhausts, suspension, steering, interiors etc. Yes, JDM are better cars. Finally, you don't buy a Scooby for economy. The usual rule is that the more power a car has the less economical it is, and JDM cars have more power. Although, fitting the PPP (Prodrive Performance Pack) to a UK could improve consumption. The theory was that as you had more power available you didn't need to rev the @rse off it as much. Expect 28-30mpg on a 70mph m-way troll just under boost, 24 average and as low as 16mpg in the twisties. Could drop to single figures on track.

Many thanks corradoboy.
So what you are saying is that the 2003 doesnt have the same roller mechanism that the sti type r's from say 1998-2000 had. This is the dccd?. I just thought that they were available. Sorry for being annoying. Also does anyone know where there are a few of the jap 2003 wrx sti's for sale?.
