No, the UK turbos (classic shape) up to early 01 Y reg (I believe) are Turbo 2000s. Classic shape Jap imports are known as WRXs and STIs, and newage UK and Jap turbos are called WRXs and WRX STIs.

A classic shape WRX is a jap import. A classic shape turbo 2000 is a UK car or a european "parallel" import.

Early wrx models are about 230-odd BHP(?) and they increase in power steadily through the years until they peak at 276 bhp for the latest ones. For a definitive answer, google for SIDC FAQ.

Hope this Helps.

Turbo 2000 = 215 Bhp. Y plates are the last year, but some didnt get registered until the 51 plate came out.
