Default GETTING RIPPED OFF ON SCOOBYNET. BLACKBURN BEWARE!

There's a tosser on here called ********* what he really wants is a slap. Stay away from the small time crook. He's ripping off genuine scooby owners looking for parts.

Him and his girlfriend hail from *******. Her name is *****, his partner in crime.

Scoobynet doesn't allow naming and shaming or personal details to be posted.

thats their address.

I DONT SEE WHY THESE F*CKERS ARE ALLOWED TO STAY ON THE SITE WHEN THEY ARE QUITE CLEARLY RIPPING THE GOOD PEOPLE OF SCOOBYNET OFF.

IS THERE ANY BLACKBURN OWNERES THAT KNOW THESE? LET ME KNOW.

CHEERS

TO EM

I was conned by this user too. Scoobynet however doesn't allow naming and shaming so I've removed their personal details from the first post and disguised their username.
Anyone remember my interior thread just over a year ago??

Cheers Paul. fair enough but i aint doing this for the craic. this guy is more than likely making a good few quid out of hard working scooby lovers all over the country. Its expensive enought running a scooby without the likes of them taking us for a ride. Come on!

Scoobynet brothers unite and fight!

All i wanted was the caliper? what have i done wrong? im the one outta pocket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Same ole same

Question has to be why Scoobynet dont allow members to name and shame - be it a personal seller or a dealer ? - surely the idea of a community is that we can share advice about good AND bad aspects of motoring ?

Personally, if I bought something and was ripped off, then later found out loads of other people had complained about them on the board I would be pretty pi55ed off about it.

I went over this last year when I had a bad experience with a seller (this seller) The reason Scoobynet doesn't allow naming and shaming is because you'll never get both sides of the story and if there's a genuine mistake then it can harm the users image. Scoobynet is protecting itself from the legal implications involved that's all.

Nothing to do with SN not allowing naming and shaming. What if someone had a personal gripe with someone so posted a made up story about them and posted their address. What if someone did this to you and you were innocent? SN will not take sides in this matter as the claims might not be true. Not saying that this is the case here but you gave to apply the same policy none the less.

I can see the point of arguments against it, but in cases like these where you hear of a few members being ripped off or sold junk ( I'm thinking of one import dealer in particular here who has sold knackered cars to a few people on this board ) then it does make you a bit annoyed that members cant warn other people.

So did your problem get resolved then ? Or did you just put it down to a fact of life ?

Does Paypal not cover up to £500 for this reason?

Sort of. I don't want to go jumping on this guys thread but it did sort of get sorted but not anywhere near how it should have been and the quality of the replacement item was very poor. It was a drivers seat for an impreza and the first seat turned up with a holed bolster. The seller claimed that this had been done in the post but on examining the photo he sent it became clear that they'd photoshopped it to cover the damage It then took several weeks to get a replacement sent after they ignored all contact. The replacement turned up soaking wet through and had been wrapped up like this. When the seat was fitted to a car it turned out that the seat was bent

A quick serach on the username reveals that all he/she does is post in the for sale and wantedsection.

Quite obvioulsy purely here to make money, nothing more.

Anyone buy/selling stuff on SN should do a user name serach to see if the user actually interacts in the forum (i.e make converstaion in other sections) rather than selling stuff.

This usually reaps out the geniune SN Users and the leechers out to make a few £££.

Simple rule...no or little posts in SR/General/Muppets/technical/Sport etc. = dodgy user/dealer/conman

A high post count in non-sales forum is a good indiction of a user's genuinity.

Ali-B 17,900+ posts....5 of which only ever posted in For sale......unlike the user this thread is about where nearly ALL of their posts have been in the For Sale/Wanted section.

No public naming and shaming is allowed but you can send me a "private" PM (not be related to SN in anyway) of this person.

Mass "Private Message" bombing mission
