Currently driving an 04 BMW 545i which is a fantastic car, but I have been a huge rally enthusiast since I was a kid and the last Subaru I had was 7 years ago back in Aus.

I'm thinking of changing the BMW for a MY06 STI

Am I mental or is this a good move? Is the new STI refined enough for use as a "family" car.

(Only do around 5000 miles a year and the majority of that is jaunts across to Europe or to watch rallies)
