I will be buying a scooby in the next few weeks but don`t know anyone who I can take along with me when going to buy one, and I don`t have a clue really about engines.
Has anyone had an AA inspection done on a car and if so, how much did it cost.
I don`t want to be braking down the same day.

Yep, as stated, RAC do it
Had one done when I bought my car long distance last year. The examiner then phoned me after the examination with the results.
Excellent for piece of mind. Oh and my seller was very genuine and decent. He even paid for the examination - £180 or so I believe. There are still a few honest, decent people left thankfully.
