I'd say it depends how fast you're planning to go and depends on the quality of the bonnet...
These AeroCatch ones are really nice things. I have them on my Skyline and Sierra.

i like them pins ihave the old rally look on my 05STI normal bonnet not carbon
no probs from the plod either
