Default Strut replacement record attempt!

My SPLENDID WRX has just had its 6th replacement suspension strut to stop the clonking. It's only 18 months old. Is this a record?

Im thinking it needs something else changing? Find the source of the problem rather than just replacing the failed part.

Did the WRX's start having these problems with the MY05 chasis changes. I thought they changed the existing for the STi inverted strutt suspension ? seems logical that the WRX would inherit the apparent knocking problems from the STi too ???

Ha ha, strut number 8 (that's EIGHT!!) being fitted next week. I think I claim the world strut record SO FAR! The little delight is now handling in the most appallingly dangerous manner (It seems to go where you didn't ask it to go) as well as sounding like a diesel for the first 5 miles every morning. What a shame, it's such an excellent car otherwise.
