Ummmm.... Very fast?
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Must be one hell of a spec for that power, any hints for what you're getting done?

How will it feel? Brutal; nearly un-driveable on the road and hopless in the wet...but only if you use full throttle

It feels like you perhaps opted for too much power, and that everytime you prod the go pedal, you need to give the car 100% concertration because it can fire you into oblivion with ease.

Put it this way, in the wet you should be able to spin all 4 wheels at 70mph.

Personally I would recommend you get some driver training, or an airfield day, or something, because 600hp in a classic is pretty fecking rediculous if you don't give it some respect.

Not as good as going from a TD04 to a TD05 with all the supporting mods on a Bugeye

It's the old law of diminishing returns........... for a daily driver LOL

Sounds good to me !

It'll get you in the tens if you get everything working together (including your hands, feet and brain).

Godspeed brother and keep us posted

Edited to add:

If you do get used to it take up either BASE jumping, crack or passengering with my missus.

Martin, you still planning to use this for hill climbs and sprints, or is it gonna be a road car now?

it will feel like 500-600 ps in any other classic model subaru. Why is the P1 bit relevent? after you take the engine out it won't be a P1 anymore will it?

What will it feel like compared to what i have know?
Your legs will shake from the adrenaline.. and it'll bite you if you don't give it some respect.
Be under no illusion that it will catch you out at some point. Just be aware of it.

While having the engine uprated I'd suggest maybe getting leather seats fitted ? will wipe clean a lot easier than the fabric ones !

Brakes & driver training if not already got / done

Putting the power down will be fun, its bad enough with 310/310 in this weather tbh

I am sure that you will enjoy it all the same, if you can use it in the UK, I dunno?

If you use the power too much you'll end up with a neck like Coulthard

I can't believe people are willing to spend this kind of money on an engine.....if the engine is worth 30k and the car worth 15k..you could sell it and buy a decent car!

What is the purpose of the upgrade?

Cause £45k would not get you a car that has 550-600bhp with the sort of power to weight as a classic shape Scooby,

It will have more power then a Pagani Zonda.

............and it'll break and it will "still" only be an impreza.

I bet you could get a 911 turbo for that sort of money.

It'll also have the brakes, suspension and gearbox to match.
