DCCD imprezza sti
Hi Guys,
I would normally do a search for this, so apologies for the question!
Could someone please tell me what year DCCD became standard on the blob eye sti?
am i right in saying that a 2004/54 registered car would be an sti 8? If so, what are the main differences between this and the sti 9?
Any feedback appreciated!
Thanks

Initially on the WR1 in 2004 then available from 2005.
2004/54 would be a MY04. They stopped calling them by numbers when the Bugeye (MY01) came out.

Yes, it is. The MY05> cars inherited the chassis from the Japanese market Spec C with its longer wheelbase. It's easy to see when you look at the car - the front wheels don't sit centrally within the wheelarch, they're about 2cm further forward.
MY05 also gained an updated interior with automatic climate control. The wheel fitment changed from 5x100mm PCD to 5x114.3mm to accommodate larger and stronger hubs, and a different wheel (made by Enkei) is fitted, with Bridgestone RE070 tyres.
