if it was a motorway 3 points and £60 fine.
If it was an A or B road 5 points and £100 fine.

Yeah pretty much, i think dual carrageways are 70mph unless otherwise stated by a sign, so technically u should be ok for just three points.

best bet i'd say is bin the road angel if it can't warn you early enough about camera vans and get yourself a jammer instead

dual carriageways in built up areas have various speed limits depending on the area, the ones in the open areas ie A roads are 70

Nooooooo!!!!

Was that on the A4232 coming out of Cardiff? Not sure of the speed limit there but it isn't in a built up area so I guess it would be 70mph limit.

Where about was it?

when they send u the forms in the post fill in the details except for the name of the driver and dont sign it. then send it back.. wait a few weeks and it will be sent back to u. again dont fill in the spaces and return it. then as u havnt admited it they wont persue it as the cost of prosecution outways the cost of a fine.. ive done it twice and never had points or a fine..

A dual carriageway is not the same as a motorway at all. It just looks the same. A DC is classed as a normal road with a 70mph limit unless signposted otherwise and the offence will be SP30. The same thing on a motorway would be an SP50 which, in total opposition to logic, is seen as a slightly more serious offence. Or to look at it another way, caning it past a school (at 50mph just at home time when all the big 4x4s are parked all along the road), is not quite as reprehensible as cruising at an easy 90 on the motorway along with everyone else. Still, people get the government and the laws they deserve I suppose.

Default road angel

Did your Road Angel not pick up the camera van?
The reason I'm asking is that I also have a road angel and I have not come across a camera van yet.

Going unsigned option was closed down when Idris Francis lost his high court appeal last year. If you do it now you will probably end up having a sec172 conviction and ms90 dvla driver code. The cps/police/courts dont care about the cost, they pursued this guy to the cost of 30k before giving up! http://forums.pepipoo.com/uploads/po...1138457913.jpg
