I opted out at £500 per month as the co wanted me to take the WRX with me if I ever left! that worked out ok, with the tax saving as well, netted back to £500 or so a month in your pocket at the time, It's cost me less to run my own scoob..

Co has decided that Scoobies are no longer allowed on the list
Are they trying to raise the profile of the company?

No Mate

I was going for an L200 pickup [saves shed loads of tax] and buy the current car

Seems the L200 is a bad idea as well

So I am going to take the cash and buy the car of the company

i had an L200 warrior with all the extras, sold it last week to get an scooby sti ppp, trucks are ok, v good for tax if you have a company, but trucks really arent for me in terms of being a drivers car

They are very practical for the B&Q trips mind

If i were you Phil id take the money and keep the scooby, i wouldnt have 2 cars, been there and it didnt work for me at all

I could be wrong, but i did hear that as of 2007 vehicles with more than 3 seats will NOT be classed a commercial vehicles, so twin-cabs will be classed as private cars.

its a very grey area
depends on the job you do
how long you have had a double cab
whether you take it home or not
if you cannot securely park at your office
and if you can answer correctly to all the above

budgie

Btw, didnt have to chose between the two
still got em both

Do they put any stipulations on the age of the car you buy with your opt out money?
