Default Call for drivers to participate in short online questionnaire

Drivers needed to participate in online questionnaire

I am a researcher in the Mixed Reality Laboratory at the University of Nottingham.

Drivers with over 6 months experience are needed to complete a short online questionnaire assessing driver characteristics and behaviour.

The questionnaire is completely anonymous and should only take 5 to 10 minutes to complete. The results will be applicable to the development of safer in-vehicle technologies.

If you would like to take part in this research, please follow the link below to my homepage at the University of Nottingham. Here you will find a brief description of this research, and a link to the online questionnaire. Questions have been designed to help fill in some of the gaps in the current driving-research literature.

Yours Faithfully

Sorry mate - this winds me up big style - I know your only trying to pass your degree but really should anyone needing any of the following type of technologies even be allowed to DRIVE!!

Do you use any other advanced driver support systems ?

Please tick as appropriate.

Collision warning system
Adaptive cruise control (ACC)
Driver monitoring system
Vision enhancement system
Lane departure warning system

I want LESS intrusive nannying robot driver technology sh*t in my car NOT MORE!...

20 years from now I'll get to 'choose my destination' and sit back and wait until the bloody thing drives me there..might as well sleep in the bloody thing and wake up outside work...

There's my answer for your survey...

Sorry, all the best in your future career...

ABS, powersteering ? not quite the same as 'lane departure warning bells' or a 'collision warning system' is it ? - is it going to have speed dependant hysteria built in ? screaming "look out - shhhiiiittt - your gonna crash" if your going to hit something at 90mph! - next step from that is if GPS is tracking all cars - then the 'computer takes over' and drives for you when you've contravened 'acceptable standards' - stepping stones to ultimately removing ALL your driving privileges...
